WordPress core, plugins and themes are reviewed and updated regularly to help address security vulnerabilities, bug fixes and compatibility changes.
Daily off-site backups
Your website is backed up daily, with copies stored separately from the hosting account and retained for up to 90 days.
Pre-update restore point
A fresh restore point is created before routine updates, providing a recent recovery option if an update causes an obvious problem.
Uptime monitoring
Automated monitoring helps identify when your website becomes unavailable. DRA Digital will review downtime alerts and advise you if the issue appears to need further investigation.
Security checks
Regular checks help identify known vulnerabilities, suspicious activity and other potential concerns. Ongoing maintenance helps reduce the risks associated with vulnerable software.
Performance checks
Regular checks help identify significant changes in loading speed and general performance. Work outside routine maintenance will be explained and quoted separately where appropriate.
Website health monitoring
Ongoing checks help identify common WordPress warnings, update failures and other technical concerns that may need attention.

DRA Digital can usually maintain WordPress websites built by another designer or developer.
Before joining the care plan, the website will be reviewed for its current condition, software, security and compatibility. Complex websites, or websites with outdated software, existing errors, unlicensed plugins or themes, or custom development, may require separate work and a quote before ongoing maintenance can begin.
Any pre-existing problems aren’t included in the monthly care plan.

What isn’t included?
The WordPress Care Plan covers routine website maintenance and monitoring. It doesn’t include:
- Content updates, new pages or design and layout changes
- SEO work or major website speed optimisation
- Troubleshooting, repairs or plugin and theme conflicts not caused by routine maintenance performed under the care plan
- Recovery of hacked or severely damaged websites, including extensive malware removal
- Premium plugin or theme licence costs

What is a WordPress care plan?
A WordPress care plan is an ongoing maintenance service that helps keep a WordPress website updated, backed up and monitored. It provides regular website care without you having to manage routine technical work yourself.
Can DRA Digital maintain a website it didn’t build?
Usually, yes. The website will first need to be reviewed for outdated software, existing errors, security concerns, custom development and other issues that may affect ongoing maintenance.
Does the plan include website hosting?
No. Website hosting is a separate service unless it has been included in a written package or agreement.
Are website content changes included?
No. The plan covers routine maintenance and monitoring of the existing website. Content changes, new pages, design work and additional features can be quoted separately.
What happens if an update causes a problem?
A restore point is created before routine updates. Basic post-update checks are then completed. If an issue appears to have been caused directly by maintenance completed under the plan, DRA Digital will investigate it as part of the service.
Does the care plan guarantee my website can’t be hacked?
No website can be guaranteed to remain completely secure. Regular updates, backups and security checks help reduce risk and provide more recovery options if a problem occurs.
How long are backups retained?
Daily off-site backups are retained for up to 90 days, providing a selection of restore points if an earlier version of the website is needed.
